Neu-Bamberg

The neighbouring village Neu Bamberg is located at the west slope of the volcanic hills only a few kilometers away from Siefersheim. We are holding and working a few very promising parcels of vineyard in this demarcation since several years now. The exposition is more south west – bordering directly on the steep slope of the Heerkretz site.

The geology there is dominated mostly by reddish clay and clay-slate mixtures, as well as by the sandstone layers known as “Oberrotliegendes” (upper red layers), this is essentially the older base layer which is now covered and protected by the dominant volcanic formations in most parts of the demarcation.
